- Manoj Kulkarni

Today is 2nd death anniversary of renowned world cinema historian & founder of 'NFAI'..P. K. Nair!

'Celluloid Man' a documentary on his devoted life towards cinema..was made by Shivendra Singh Dungarpur and won two National Awards! It was premiered at Italy & released in India on 3 May, 2013 to coincide with the centenary of Indian cinema!
World cinema historian P. K. Nair watching film!

Amitabh Bachchan felicitated P. K. Nair with 'Lifetime Achievement Award'.

He was awarded the 'Satyajit Ray Memorial Award' in 2008! And two years back Megastar Amitabh Bachchan felicitated him with 'Lifetime Achievement Award' of 'Film Heritage Foundation' in the function held at Mumbai!

[Nayarsahab gave big support & inspiration to film societies & cinema culture in India..from his career place (NFAI) Pune; but sadly festivals in Pune forgot the homage to him!]
I felicitated Nairsahab in ceremony of my film magazine 'Chitrasrushti'!

Lot of memories of  P. K. Nair and his guidance, motivation for me..lingering in mind! In 1989 I did 'Film Appreciation Course' jointly conducted by 'NFAI' & FTII'! In 2002  I launched my film magazine 'Chitrasrushti' and in it's publication ceremony he delivered lecture on world cinema! Then in each of it's special issues he wrote an article! In 2013 he launched my film magazine's website:

 Salute to Nayarsahab!!
